Privacy policy
A & B Motors ("we", "us") is a family-run garage at Unit 29, IO Trade Centre, 57A Croydon Road, Beddington, Croydon CR0 4QE. This policy explains how we use personal information. Last updated: 10 September 2026.
Who we are
We trade as A & B Motors. Contact us at abmotorscroydon@outlook.com or 020 8037 8486. Our sister company is Strand Motor Company (strandmotors.uk). The two businesses have separate websites. We do not pass your booking details to Strand unless you ask us to.
What we collect
- Name, phone number, email and vehicle registration when you book an MOT, service or diagnostic.
- Vehicle details returned from the registration lookup so we can price and diary the job.
- Messages you send by email or phone.
- Technical data such as IP address and basic device information from this website.
How bookings are processed
Online booking is provided by ManageMyGarage. When you enter a registration and confirm a slot, ManageMyGarage processes that information so we can accept the booking. See their own privacy information as well as this policy. You can also book by phone without using the widget.
Why we use it
We use this information to quote, book and carry out work, to contact you about your car, to meet MOT and accounting records, and to respond to enquiries. We rely on taking steps to provide a contract (or steps you ask for before a contract) and on our legitimate interests in running the garage.
How long we keep it
We keep job and customer records for as long as we need them for the work, warranty, tax and legal obligations, then delete or anonymise them. MOT records follow DVSA rules.
Who we share it with
We share what is needed with ManageMyGarage for online booking, with payment providers if you pay by card, and with insurers or the DVSA where the law requires it. We do not sell your details.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or in some cases delete it or restrict how we use it. Email abmotorscroydon@outlook.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
